RECIPE: Kata Kat (Goats’ Fried Chops, Kidney, Brain and Heart)
- Lamb’s / Goat’s Kidney……………………………………….2–3
- Lamb’s Heart…………………………………………………….1
- Lamb’s Chops (or pieces of Meat)………………………..3
- Lamb’s Brain……………………………………………………..1
- Cooking Oil/Ghee/Butter……………………………………..1 cup (100 g)
- Yoghurt (beaten)………………………………………………..3–4 tablespoons
- Tomatoes (medium)……………………………………………2 (100 g) chopped
- Ginger (slices or crushed)……………………………………2 tablespoons
- Green Coriander, Green Chillies and Fresh Lemon…to your taste
- LAZIZA KAT-A-KAT MASALA…………………………….one bag only
EASY STEP
- Put kidney, heart and chops in boiling water for 2–3 minutes and take out.
Then cut in small pieces. - Put small pieces of kidneys, heart, chops, green chillies (chopped), ginger slices, Laziza Kat-a-Kat Masala (one bag) in hot ghee/oil ans add ½ cup water, cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
- Now add brain, tomatoes, yoghurt and choppes green coriander and cook for another 10 minutes on medium or high flame while stirring.
Delicious Kat-a-kat is ready. Serve with lemon, fresh salad, chapati or naan.
